Sarah Hyland, the daughter of British comedian Chris Hyland (who died last year), has written a number of songs for popular films, including “The Great British Bake Off” and “Lemonade,” among others.

She said in an interview with NPR last year that her dad wrote the comedy series as a way to “help people who are struggling to write good comedy, because they are so stuck on trying to be funny, to make it more funny.”
