Comedian Erina Watson is one of the most sought-after comedians in the country.
And she’s just about to launch a comedy residency at New York City’s Studio 54, with a debut set to air in September.
Watson will be launching the residency, called “Watson Live” on September 14.
“I’m excited to be bringing my brand of humor to this unique and innovative space,” Watson told Mashable.
“This is a place where I can really make my mark and be the one to break through the barriers of who I am.”
Watson has appeared on shows like “Inside Amy Schumer” and “Louie,” and she’s recently starred in her own comedy special, “Witch Hunt.”
But she said she hopes to continue working in the industry and pursue a career in the film and television business.
“I really think the next five years are going to be great for me,” Watson said.
“We’re going to have some amazing people coming out of comedy.”
Wiseman is the co-creator and star of the hit Netflix series “Veep,” a show that’s been nominated for four Emmys.
The show, which will premiere in 2017, has been hailed for its comedic approach, which focuses on how politicians handle their jobs.
